Welcome to Kimchi & Katanas (“K&K,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing our website, joining our community, purchasing a digital product, or registering for one of our events, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our practices described here. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the site or participate in our events.

These terms apply to everyone who visits the site, follows our content, becomes a member, or attends any Kimchi & Katanas experience, including our virtual conventions and fan events.

Everything on Kimchi & Katanas — our reviews, recommendations, rankings, quizzes, personality tests, polls, blog posts, videos, and event programming — is provided for entertainment and informational purposes only.

• •Our reviews and opinions are subjective and reflect personal taste. They are not professional, financial, legal, medical, or psychological advice.
• •Quiz and personality-test results are just for fun and should not be taken as any kind of real assessment.
• •We make no guarantee that any content, recommendation, or opinion is accurate, complete, or suited to your particular tastes.
• •Drama titles, artwork, and other pop-culture references belong to their respective owners; we reference them for commentary and fandom fun.

Kimchi & Katanas hosts online events such as Binge Crew Con, watch parties, game shows, panels, and other community gatherings (each, an “Event”). The following terms apply to all Events in addition to the rest of these Terms & Conditions.

• •Registration & eligibility: Some Events require registration. You agree to provide accurate information (including a valid email) when you register, and you are responsible for keeping your login or access details secure.
• •Entertainment only: Events are casual, fan-run experiences for entertainment. They are not professional conferences, and any panels, guests, or advice shared are for fun and general interest only.
• •Schedule & content changes: Programming, schedules, activities, guests, vendors, prizes, and experiences are tentative and may change, be rescheduled, or be canceled at any time, with or without notice.
• •Cancellation & availability: We may postpone, cancel, or limit capacity for any Event for any reason. Where an Event is free, no refund is owed. For any paid Event or add-on, our refund practices will be stated at the point of purchase.
• •Access & platforms: Events may rely on third-party platforms (for example, video, chat, or Discord). We are not responsible for outages, technical issues, or the conduct or policies of those third-party services, and you agree to follow their rules as well.
• •Code of conduct: Be kind. Harassment, hate speech, spam, threats, sharing of others’ private information, disruptive behavior, or any illegal activity will not be tolerated and may result in immediate removal from the Event.
• •Recordings & media: Events may be recorded, streamed, or screenshotted. By participating, you consent to the capture and use of chat messages, submissions, usernames, and on-screen participation in recordings, highlights, and promotional materials.
• •Submissions: Anything you submit for an Event (such as Hall of Fame entries, questions, votes, or shout-outs) may be displayed, moderated, edited, or removed at our discretion, and you confirm you have the right to share it.
• •Prizes: Any prizes or giveaways are offered as-is, have no cash value unless stated, and may be subject to additional rules. We may substitute or withdraw prizes at any time.

Some features are available through free or paid memberships. Membership benefits, pricing, and specific terms are described on our Membership page, which forms part of these terms.

• •Paid memberships renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime, and access continues through the end of your paid period.
• •When a paid membership ends, you return to the free tier — you never lose your place in the community.
• •Points, badges, and similar rewards are for community fun only and hold no cash value.
• •We may change membership tiers, pricing, or benefits going forward; material changes will be communicated where reasonable.

• •Digital products (guides, printables, downloads, and similar) are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only.
• •You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly share purchased or free digital products without our written permission.
• •Because digital items are delivered instantly, all sales are final unless otherwise stated or required by law.
• •Free downloads and lead magnets are offered as-is and may be updated or discontinued at any time.

When using the site, community areas, or Events, you agree not to:

• •Harass, bully, threaten, or discriminate against anyone.
• •Post spam, scams, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or infringing.
• •Impersonate others, manipulate votes or points, or use multiple accounts to gain an unfair advantage.
• •Attempt to disrupt, hack, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or our systems.
• •Share other members’ private information without their consent.

Access to Kimchi & Katanas, our community, and our Events is a privilege, not a right. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion and at any time, to remove content, suspend or terminate accounts, and revoke or deny access to the site, memberships, or any Event — with or without notice and with or without reason, including for any violation of these terms or behavior we consider harmful to the community.

Moderation decisions are final. If your paid membership is terminated because of a serious violation of these terms, you may not be entitled to a refund.

The Kimchi & Katanas name, logo, original content, graphics, and site design are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or use our branding or original content without permission. Third-party names, logos, and media referenced on the site remain the property of their respective owners.

The site, our content, memberships, digital products, and Events are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses, or that any content or Event will meet your expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kimchi & Katanas and its owner, team, and collaborators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, enjoyment, or opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the site, participation in our community or Events, or any content, product, or interaction connected to Kimchi & Katanas.

You use this site and take part in our community and Events entirely at your own discretion and risk. In plain terms: this is a fan community built for fun, and you agree not to hold us legally responsible for it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the site, an Event, or a purchase will not exceed the amount you actually paid us (if any) for the specific product or Event giving rise to the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kimchi & Katanas and its owner, team, and collaborators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the site, your participation in an Event, your submissions, or your violation of these terms or of any law or the rights of another person.

Our site and Events may link to or rely on third-party websites, platforms, and services (such as social media, payment processors, streaming, and chat tools). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

We collect only the information we need to run the community, deliver products, and host Events (such as your email when you register or subscribe). We do not sell your personal information. Please reach out with any questions about how your information is handled.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the site or participation in our community or Events after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Kimchi & Katanas operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be handled in the courts located there.
